Chasing Joy: The Reset

When I first set out on this little adventure, I wasn’t exactly sure what I was chasing, I just knew I needed to step away. Away from the noise, the deadlines, the grind. What I found was something I didn’t expect: space. Space to breathe, reflect, and reset.

This time gave me a fresh perspective I didn’t even realize I needed. It reminded me to appreciate not just the big wins, but all the moments in between, the people I get to work with, the stories I get to tell, and the life I’ve built around doing what I love. I’ve been so focused on pushing forward that I hadn’t really taken time to pause and appreciate just how far I’ve come.

Burnout is sneaky. It doesn’t always show up waving a red flag. Sometimes it disguises itself as “just a busy season,” or “one more project.” But stepping away made it clear—we all need a pause. Not forever, not even for long. Just long enough to reset the system and reignite the spark.

Now, I’m heading home not just rested, but recharged. I’m more excited than ever to dive back into the work I love, the people I admire, and the stories that need telling. Same path, new energy.

If you're feeling stuck, drained, or disconnected, consider stepping off the treadmill for a bit. Chase your version of joy. It just might lead you back to yourself.
